Bid of 3 Consortiums – To Foster Chennai Monorail
As per the tender raised by the government, regarding the building offer for the Chennai monorail, as of now three firms has been corroborated its interest in taking up this great opportunity.
The bid for qualifying the monorail construction work has been opened by
the transport department on Friday. And three companies namely Essel &
Scomi; Gammon & IL; FS Transportation Network has sent in their
applications to the department.
As these three firms will be there in threadbare, the proposal will not
be much aggressive as expected.
Even though the official says that, less number of competitive circles
will bring in good results.
Expertise for monorail is not highly typical and, with firm’s sharing
different rights, there are only few numbers that have the skill, explained by
a source in the department.
On continuation, the subsequent step would be short listing process amid
these three companies.
