A large-scale housing project at Rs. 100 Crores for Metro Rail Project Officials & Employees

Chennai Metro rail project is progressing at good speed. Tracks for the elevated corridor of 21 m and 24 m of underground tunnel works are in progress. There will be 13 stations on the elevated corridor and 19 underground railway stations.


Housing construction has been taken up for the project officials and employees including Koyambedu workshop.


The housing complex, known as Metro Bhavan will cost Rs. 100 Crores. It will be provided with the latest amenities. It will be completed by the time when metro rail starts operating.


Housing project is taken up for the officials and employees working at the Koyambedu workshop at the cost of Rs. 30 Crores.


Metro Rail administration office functioning at Harini Towers in Conran Smith Road, Gopalapuram and the consultancy centre located at C P Ramaswamy Road, Raja Annamalaipuram will be shifted to the new 8-storeyed building located in the Koyambedu workshop.


Around 400 senior officials, experts, and employees will shift from their rented residences.
