It is found that there is depreciation in the total number of beneficiaries for the fund given to non-employed youth. The Tamil Nadu government provides subsidy to non-employed youth who are registered with the employment exchange. It is now identified that Rs 2.40 crore is left behind from the funds allotted to this subsidy, say officials.

The state has 32 district employment exchanges offices and two special employment exchange offices, together counting to 37 such offices internet facilities.  Those who are registered here are recommended for job postings available with the companies coming up with job vacancies. There is a good number of increase in total number of candidates getting themselves enrolled here. As of March 2013, over 82.78 lakh candidates have registered themselves here.

Considering the financial status of the family and age limit, subsidy of the range Rs 300 is provided to these candidates. Over Rs 26.40 crore was distributed to these candidates during the financial year 2012-13. This however is reduced to Rs 24 crore in 2014-15.
