1,112 Anna University students get job offers

Four IT companies interviewed 1,300 students who took the online test. At the end of the programme on Tuesday, four companies presented as many as 1,696 employment offers to Vice-Chancellor M. Rajaram.
 
The companies that participated include Accenture (491 offers), CTS (402), Infosys (567) and IBM (236).
 
The recruitment process started on October 6 and went on till October 13.
 
Providing details about this year`s recruitment, Anna University vice-chancellor Prof M. Rajaram said this was the first time the university tried bulk hiring process with companies sharing the day one slot. 

 
Prof T. Thyagarajan, director, centre of university industry collaboration at Anna University, added that the university plans to conduct the Tamil Nadu state-level placement programme (TNSLPP) during December to facilitate the recruitment of students from private colleges affiliated to the university.
