Current system of appointment of Special teachers through seniority in Employment Exchange abolished!

The current system of appointing special teachers based on the seniority of registration in Employment stands abolished.
Henceforth, the selection will be based on competitive examination.
Special Teachers for the subjects of Sewing, painting, and Physical Education will henceforth be selected on the basis of competitive examination.
The written Test will carry a weightage of 95% and the performance in the interview 5% for a total of 100%.
Candidates successful in the written examination will be called for interview in the ratio of 5 candidates for 1 vacancy.
There will be 190 questions in the Objective Test.
The duration of the test will be 3 hours.
Each question will carry half mark.
Teachers’ Selection Board will announce the tests and conduct & evaluate.
Grading:
· Additional qualification – half mark
· Experience in private school – half mark
· Experience in government school – 1 mark
· Extra-curricular activities (NCC< NSS, Fine Arts) – 1.5 mark
· Personality & Appearance – 1.5 mark
The special teachers will be selected on the basis of ranking as per performance in the written test and interview and the reservation quota.
