Final Round of TNEA 2024 Counselling Begins, Over 92,000 Students Eligible!
The Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) has announced that the third and final round of counselling for engineering aspirants will begin on Friday. Over 71,000 students have already reported to their respective colleges after provisional seat allotments in the first two rounds.
According to a senior DOTE official, the third round is for students with cut-off marks between 141.9 and 77.5. A total of 92,999 students are eligible for this round, including 20,951 government school students benefiting from the 7.5% horizontal quota.
Counselling for this phase began earlier this week and will conclude on August 25, with tentative seat allotments to be announced on August 26. DOTE has warned students and parents to beware of fraudulent calls promising seats, emphasizing that the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2024 (TNEA 2024) is entirely online.
