It is expected that the announcement regarding the change in the dates of the entrance examinations - JEE (Joint Entrance Examinations for admission to graduate Engineering Courses) and NEET (National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test for admission to graduate medical courses) may be released today (Friday, 26th June).

The circles close to the central government inform that the dates of the above entrance examinations may be changed. The dates for the JEE preliminary entrance examinations have already been announced by the National Testing Agency from 18th July to 23rd July.

In a similar vein, the date for NEET has been announced as 26th June. However, the candidates and their parents have appealed for the postponement of the examinations.

Currently, having taken no decision yet in this regard, the Central Ministry of Human Welfare has been consulting and discussion with the experts in the field.

Meanwhile, the Central Teachers’ Eligibility Test (CTET), scheduled on 5th July, has been postponed. The Central Minister Ramesh Pokhriwal has informed that the revised dates for CTET will be announced soon after the resumption of normality.
