Direct Counselling for MBBS/BDS Special Categories to Start!
Direct counselling for MBBS and BDS courses under special categories-7.5% preferential government quota, persons with disabilities, ex-servicemen, and sports quota-will begin on Thursday.
Eligible applications include 3,683 for the 7.5% quota. This quota allocates 496 medical seats: 319 in government medical colleges, 7 in ESI K K Nagar, 148 in self-financing colleges, and 22 in private universities. For dental courses, 126 seats are available, with 16 in government colleges and 110 in self-financing institutions.
Applications received include 133 for persons with disabilities, 343 under the sports quota, and 455 for ex-servicemen. There are 223 seats for persons with disabilities, 11 for ex-servicemen, and 8 for sports quota candidates.
The deadline for joining is September 5 at 5 pm.
