Heavy Rains Lash Tamil Nadu: Holidays Declared for Schools and Colleges

The IMD has issued a warning for the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu, anticipating heavy rains. Consequently, the district administrations have declared a holiday for all schools in Chengalpattu and Chennai, as well as for schools and colleges in Cuddalore and Villupuram districts today (29.11.2024). Schools and colleges in Tiruvallur and Kanchipuram will function as usual.
Meanwhile, schools in Puducherry and Karaikal districts have already been closed following warnings of potential flash floods.
Holidays are also expected to be announced in other districts where rain alerts have been issued.
