Superb!! Soon, the district hospital at Chromepet in Chennai will be opened for the public use!!
For an amount of Rs 110 crores, a district hospital is being constructed near the Government Hospital in Chromepet is known.
The news now is that this district hospital in Chromepet will be opened soon and steps are being taken for that. This was confirmed by the TN health minister Mr. M. Subramanian.
During the Kelvi Neram or question hour in the Assembly, Pallavaram MLA Me. E. Karunanidhi spoke about how the govt hospital at Chromepet was started about 52 years back in 1973 by the then CM of TN Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi. About 3000 outpatients benefit from this hospital.
In the Assembly, questions were raised regarding when the new district hospital that is being constructed near the government hospital in Chromepet would be opened. Question regarding when the dental hospital that was constructed (with Rs 7 cr( and now in ready condition would be opened was also raised.
The TN health minister explained that the construction work of 25 district hospitals at a cost of Rs 1018 cr has been going on. He added that a huge hospital has been built at the cost of Rs 110 cr in the Chromepet area under Pallavaram Constituency and the work is now in the final stage.
The TN health minister concluded that after medical staff and medical equipment get set or installed in the hospital it would be opened for the public use.
