Benefits of drinking a glass of water when you wake up

Every one of us is aware of the significance and importance of drinking water in our intake, digestion, etc. Drinking water is an essential aspect of keeping good health. There are plenty of benefits to be availed by drinking a glass of water immediately after getting up in the morning!

In fact, most of us would have seen many other persons following this habit of drinking a glass of water immediately after getting up in the morning. It is better to have a scientific look at this habit:

  • While asleep, we spend at least 7 hours without drinking water. This would substantially reduce the water content in the body. Dry throat is one clear indicator for this. In this situation, taking a glass of water immediately after getting up in the morning the loss of water will be redeemed within a matter of a few seconds!
  • It is rather difficult for the chewed food items to pass through a dry food throat pipe. Sometimes, complaints like vomitting or blacking of food may occur. The only solution for this is to drink water immediately! This is very applicable when food is being taken after a long gap!
  • Most of us would have felt a little higher level of body heat while getting up in the morning. This glass of water will help cool the body.
  • Sometimes, the brain may misinterpret thirst for water as a symptom of hunger. Because of this misinterpretation, some people tend to take food immediately after feeling hunger thus providing scope to gain unnecessary weight!
  • Sufficient intake of water induces the feeling of hunger being satisfied even while taking a lesser quantity of food during the eating session. This would also help reduce weight.
  • This habit helps remove the toxic water from the body system. The water taken would cleanse/rinse the dirt in the stomach and the digestion system.
  • This habit enhances the proper body functioning by 24%.
  • It also helps clean the kidneys.
  • It helps a glowing facial skin without any pimples, etc.

If one is not really inclined to drink a glass of plain water. It may be taken in the form of lemon juice!
