Boosting Tourism - A new eco tourism region to be developed in TN!!
In the future, don`t surprised if you come across an eco tourism region in Sethumadai in the district of Coimbatore!!
The latest news is that an eco tourism region would be developed in the above mentioned place to boost tourism in the state of Tamil Nadu. Fantastic right!!
It was brought out by a senior official belonging to the tourism department that to boost tourism across TN the state is interested in developing eco tourism projects with the involvement of private sector to facilitate the best in class experiences.
It must be taken into note that the department of tourism has also incorporated TNWEC or Tamil Nadu Wilderness Experience Corporation which is a special purpose vehicle or SPV.
For developing an eco tourism region, huge piece of land of 2.6acres has been identified at Sethumadai in the Vetaikkaran Pudhuru village. What is really amazing is that the site serves as the gateway to the very famous tiger reserves in Anamalai present in TN and Parambikulam present in Kerala.
It is noteworthy that Sethumadai is present against the panaromic background of the Western Ghats mountains.
