Ed Sheerans Chennai Concert: Traffic Arrangements Announced by Greater Chennai Traffic Police
International pop sensation Ed Sheeran is set to perform in Chennai as part of his 2025 India Tour at YMCA, Nandanam, on February 5, 2025, from 3:00 PM onwards. A massive crowd is expected to attend the event, and the Greater Chennai Traffic Police (GCTP) has announced special traffic arrangements to ensure smooth movement around the venue.
Traffic Guidelines for Concert Attendees:

Auto-rickshaws & Cabs: Vehicles with yellow license plates coming from Teynampet side will be allowed to reach the venue only via Cenotaph Road – Gandhi Mandapam Road – Chamiers Road – Lotus Colony 2nd Street (Nandanam Extension) for passenger drop-off.

Vehicles from Saidapet Side: Vehicles traveling from Saidapet must proceed via Nandanam Junction, take a U-turn at Chamiers Road, and drop passengers near Lotus Colony.

VVIP & Artists` Vehicles: Only VVIP pass holders and artist vehicles will be allowed to enter YMCA`s main entrance and Cosmopolitan Gate entrance on Anna Salai.
Public Advisory:
Concert attendees are advised to avoid personal vehicles and use public transport such as the Chennai Metro, MTC buses, and MRTS rail. Those using public transport are requested to walk to the venue via footpaths to ease traffic congestion.
The Greater Chennai Traffic Police has urged motorists and the public to cooperate with the arrangements to ensure a hassle-free experience for all attendees.
