Indias First ATM Installed Inside a Moving Train

In a first-of-its-kind initiative in India, an ATM machine has been installed inside the Panchwadi Express running between Manmad (near Nashik) and Mumbai. Positioned in the air-conditioned coach where a temporary cargo room once existed, the ATM allows passengers to withdraw cash while the train is in motion.
Railway officials successfully tested the machine, noting only minor signal interruptions in a few areas. With all 22 coaches of the train interconnected, passengers can easily access the facility. Authorities will continue to monitor its performance.
Passengers have praised the move, highlighting its usefulness for emergency cash needs on a route that sees heavy daily usage.
