Southern Railway Announces Special Trains for Pooja and Deepavali Festival Rush
To manage the increased passenger demand during the upcoming Pooja, Deepavali, and festive season, Southern Railway has announced the operation of special trains. The Tiruchchirappalli – Tambaram Superfast Express Special (Train No. 06190) will run five days a week, starting from October 11 until December 31. The train will depart from Tiruchchirappalli at 5:35 AM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, reaching Tambaram at 12:30 PM on the same day, offering a total of 59 services.
In the reverse direction, Tambaram – Tiruchchirappalli Superfast Express Special (Train No. 06191) will leave Tambaram at 3:30 PM on the same days, reaching Tiruchchirappalli at 11:35 PM the same night, also providing 59 services.
The train will have two AC three-tier coaches, six sleeper class coaches, ten general second-class coaches, and two luggage-cum-brake vans. Advance booking for these trains has already commenced, according to a press release from Southern Railway.
