Flying squad of the Election Commission in action mode

These days Election Commission have taken things seriously and does not allow a single thing slip through them. The action wing is in full swing.
A flying squad of the Election Commission seized 200 mobile phones and silver anklets weighing 20kg in Alandur on Wednesday and arrested two people in thisconnection.
In Salem, a squad confiscated 27.5lakh of unaccounted money on Thursday. A flying squad led by special tahsildar M Srinivasan intercepted a private bus at Indira Nagar bus stop near Attur, in which the money was found.
In Puducherry, officials seized 10 lakh from a real estate agent, Subramani, who could not furnish proper documentsduring an inspection.
So far, a total of 10.25crore in cash has been seized by the EC-appointed teams looking into violations of the model code of conduct across the state. They have also impounded other materials valued at 1.10crore.
