Why was it Deepika Padukone for Kochadayan?

Deepika Padukone, the gorgeous actress is looked upon by the Tamil audience to find her on-screen in the magnificently produced Kochadayan with Superstar Rajnikanth. It is now said that the actress had several reasons for agreeing to the film, especially emotional ones. It is said that when Soundharya Rajnikanth approached the actress, she had nothing to say other than ‘yes’, the ultimate reason being to grab the chance to share space with superstar on-screen. She found it very interesting and exciting to have a chance to work with Rajnikanth and discuss cinema with him.
Apart from her personal reasons, Kochadayan’s crew was particular about Deepika to perform the role, as they felt her to suit the role the best.
