BT BRINJAL CASE – JAYARAM RAMESH ASSURANCE

The Minister for
Environment Jayaram Ramesh has assured that the government would take
cognizance of the public sentiments in taking decision on
Genetically modified vegetables. Brinja l is one of the most used
of the vegetables . Researchers have found Genetically Modification is
way to increase its production. Somer part of society feel that GM is against
nature and would trigger side effects and vehemently oppose to this.
Government is seized of this the matter of approving BT brinjal for Commercial
production
