A new food grains market will soon originate at Koyambedu market at a cost of around Rs.69.07 Crores wrapping a land area of 14.41 acres which is just opposite to the present widespread vegetable market.
Work is all set ready and it will soon be opened for the public after the Lok Sabha poll.
This new food grain market will be outstanding with its impressive, striking and neatly built infra structure. As per the workers statement who involved in the finishing construction touches of the building says that, they are anticipating that the building might be opened by the mid of May.
This market may fit in nearly 500 shops and along with the facility for the gudowns and every floor is well outfitted with the fire-extinguisher systems.
Once the market is kicked off, then it will be a great ameliorate to residents and small business groups, as they can easily buy cereals, pulses and spices at a reasonable price.
Since these days, this project has been delayed due to release of the Environment Impact Assessment Clearance. Work is presently on hold, until the concretizing the road work as was done in the Koyambedu market. Once it is over, the market will be launched soon, the authoritative source said.
