Third Nano Technologyintiative has been
launched by a trilateral- India,
Brazil, SouthAfrica
initiative. Dr Baldev Raj, Director of Indira Gandhi Center for Atomic research
and National Co-coordinator of India for the IBSA Nano Technology Initiative
said that the third school on advanced materials would focus on advanced
aspects of Nanomaterials with specific emphasis on sensor applications. Dr
Baldev raj said that the objective of the initiative is to enable
connectivity among the scientist from the three countries to investigate
areas of mutual interest and identify available expertise and
infrastructure capabilities in various institutes in the three countries.
As agreed under Nano Technology initiative , three schools would be set up
during 2009- 2010. The first school is in Brazil
at Curitiba, the second at Pretoria
in South Africa., Now the third in Chennai
