Schools to reopen on 2nd June after Summer Vacation

All government high schools are closed for summer holidays. The primary schools will be closed for summer holidays from 1st May.
All government schools and government-aided schools will reopen on 2nd June after the Summer Holidays.
All classes from 1st standard up to +2 except 11th Standard will start from 2nd June.
It has been announced that SSLC results will be released on 2nd May. The mark sheets will be issued immediately after. The marks can be seen on the internet on down-loaded and xeroxed. This can be used for applying for joining +1 (11th Standard) classes.
+1 classes are scheduled to start on 16th May immediately after the completion of admissions. Some schools keep admissions for +1 open throughout June.
All students of government schools & government aided schools will be given free text books and note books on the day of reopening itself. A set of 2 uniforms will also be distributed.
Tamil Nadu Text Book Committee has already completed 60% of publishing of text books & notebooks. These have been sent to the various districts. The text books & note books for Standard 1 to 5 have been sent to the respective district primary education officers.
100% publishing work of the text books ( 7 crore books) is expected to be completed before 15th May.
These will be given to the students on the date of reopening. All free articles will be distributed within 6 months after the reopening.
