premium in Chennai. The fishes are imported from Singapore,
Malaysia and Sri Lanka.Chennai is becoming a hub for export
and import with breeding centers mushrooming.. The business is picking with
people breeding ornamental fishes in their backyard and exporting through
corporates. In Chennai there are more than 600 varieties available. Every day
new varieties included and the demand for Ornamental fishes is growing

Development Authority in association with France based Zolux is in the
process of setting up a packaging center cum production unit in the city at a
cost about $ 980,000.
