CHENNAI TO GO GREENER

M Subramanian, the Mayor of Chennai
Corporation said corporation had included more beautification plans in the
forth coming budget. He said that
Chennai Corporation, having got good patronage, would continue its
beautification of Chennai. The Chennai Corporation as part of the programme
will develop 50 more parks with sculptures depicting history of Tamilnadu and
statues former leaders of Tamilnadu. The Mayor also lamented that the costly
fixture installed in some of the small are being looted.
