Exclusive call centers at colleges for this admission season

So now, the twelfth board exam results are out and parents are taking necessary steps to get their wards placed in a decent college. There have been several calls received by the colleges from parents. However, parents end up disappointed as colleges are ill-equipped in handling the mammoth number of calls they receive for admission enquiries. Despite setting up exclusive helpline to help parents, they are of help only when parents visit the college directly, and not over phone.
“I made number of calls to the college, but I found no one picking the call,” says a parent who wants to admit her daughter in a private college.
Speaking to a principal of a private women’s college, she says they have interconnected the phone lines and hence, even if the call is bus, it would sound like as if it is ringing. We have uploaded most of the necessary admission details in our website for the convenience of students and parents, she adds.
This being the case is most of the private colleges, few top colleges have set up exclusive call centers and help desks to guide the parents over phone. Nearly 20 individuals are deployed to attend such phone calls received from parents.
