COME JUNE, GOVERNMENT CARE FOR SCHOOL GOING CHILDREN
The School Education
Department of Government of Tamilnadu I contemplating reducing the burden of schoolbags.
This comes as a part of its initiative
to implement ‘Samacheer Kalvi` under the Tamil Nadu Uniform System of School
Education Act for classes I and VI this year.

Minister Thangam Thennarasu said that the Government is conscious about
reducing the weight note books and text books through quality of paper and by
using light weight paper. Work book are likely to be replaced by worksheets.
For the primary school children it will be activity based learning, which will
need note books. Whole teaching method
will have to be relooked from the point of view of making more options
available to students so that they can pursue what is interesting to them and
must be guided to excel in anything they choose.
