Verification for BE candidates under sports quota begins

Candidates who have applied for eminent sportsperson quota for admission in engineering colleges under single window counselling have been shortlisted and will be called for sports original certificates verification from 13 to 15 June at the Centre for Entrance Examinations and Admissions, Anna University.
According to a release from TNEA secretary, shortlisted candidates will be informed through SMS. In addition, the details like date and time of certificate verification will be available in Anna University website.
There are 500 seats under sports quota and 4,852 students have applied this year. Under differently-abled category, 6,000 seats are available and 488 candidates have applied and for 150 seats under ex-servicemen category, 2,518 candidates have applied, officials said.
