A special entry drashan (prathyega pravesh drashan) was started at a fee of Rs. 300/- a few years ago to facilitate the devotees to have a quick drashan. The devotees were allowed to go through Vaikundam Queue Complex – 1 to have a quicker drashan.
Sometimes, the devotees have to wait for more than 12 to 15 hours for the drashan of the Lord. Also, more time is spent for special drashan and free drashan arrangement.
Basic facilities have been provided for the devotees waiting for special drashan & free drashan. However, these faculties are not available for the devotees under the Rs. 300/- drashan scheme. They are exposed to sun and rain. Hence certain changes were mooted for this drashan by the TTD Board.
As per the new scheme, 15,000 to 20,000 tickets will be issued daily for the Rs. 300/- drashan. If the crowd level is more, up to 25,000 tickets may be issued. The timing of drashan will be printed on the ticket. 14 counters will be available for buying this Rs. 300/- ticket.
The devotees buying this ticket can note the timing for the drashan and join the queue accordingly. They will have less waiting time.
The system will be made effective shortly.
