People across Tamil Nadu are likely to face more power cuts

People across the Andhra Pradesh state including Tamil Nadu are likely to face more power cuts in the next few days as coal shortage has hit the Vijayawada-based Vijayawada Thermal Power Station (VTPS) and the Kadapa-based Rayalaseema Thermal Power Project.
The two key power-generation plants have already stalled generation of power on Sunday because of the shortage of coal, particularly from the Talcher coalfields of Odisha and Mahanadi Coalfields Limited in Karnataka.
