There is a strong general belief that a sound sleep is excellent for good health.
A latest report reveals that sound sleep can also enhance an individual’s memory power as well as academic performance.
Scientists conducted an experiment on rats. They found that the rats who had sound sleep learnt the exercises well and quickly.
In a similar vein, the scientists observe that an individual’s sound sleep can enhance the memory power and the academic performance. Sound sleep creates a new connections between neurons enhancing the memory power. This activity was confirmed while checking the better performing rats brain through microscope. It was also confirmed that the rats that did not sleep well did not learn well and showed poor memory power.
So, Professor from New York, Mr. Evan Bio Gnan, recommends that it is better to ensure children’s sound sleep for enhancing their intelligence & academic performance.
