Don’t you sleep well? If yes, read on!

With the recent trends and lifestyle, most of us do not sleep well.

The reasons for this condition may be attributed to tension, intensive hard work, or no work at all, shortage of time, and undisciplined lifestyle.

It is well-known that a person spends one-third of his life-time in sleep. If this is not followed, the body gets exposed to several problems!

Tips to get proper sleep:
  • Do good physical exercises in daytime
  • Remember that all healthy people and those who tire themselves get sound sleep.
  • Change your pillow-covers & bed-covers at least every alternate day. It is best to change them every day!
  • Ensure that your room is properly ventilated with sunlight during the daytime & evening. This is especially good for those who use air-conditioner in the night. If there is no air-conditioning use a good mosquito-net & ensure that the room has a good air-flow.
  • Ensure that your bedding & pillows do not give you any kind of neck or body pain.
  • Do not take bath in very hot water before going to sleep. Warm water is ideal!
  • Ensure that the room is not too brightly light or too much noisy. This is a good assurance for sound sleep.
  • Just do not watch TV or work on the computer till the last moment you go to sleep! Remember, your mood throughout the evening will determine the sort of sleep you will have!
  • Soft music is excellent for good sleep!
  • Try to maintain fixed timings for going to sleep as well as getting up!
  • If you do not sleep even after 15 minutes of lying down, do not keep tossing around the bed! Get up and try to read some good book or listen to some melodious music.
  • Brushing you teeth & wearing a comfortable nightdress are important.
  • Do not drink coffee past afternoons.
  • Do not take spicy food during dinner.
  • Don’t keep your alarm clock close to your ears! Its ticking will keep disturbing you!
  • Don’t do any hard physical exercises in the night!
  • Avoid alcoholic drinks any time!! Especially, more so during nights!!
  • Never go to bed hungry! If you feel hungry even after dinner, take some fruits or a glass of milk!
