, the general President of the Indian Science congress Association launched the
website of the 98 {+t} {+h} Indian Science Congress 2011,
to be held at the SRM University, Chennai in the presence of Vice-Chancellor P.
Sathyanarayanan, directors and faculty members of the University.The website
(www.isc2011.in) will have details of the Congress. There would also be
information on the plenary sessions that are being planned. The theme of the
Indian Science Congress 2011 is “Quality Education and Excellence in Scientific
Research in Indian Universities”.
The focus of the
conference will be on ‘Challenge of water resources management in the new
millennium,` ‘Genetic engineering and biotechnology: application and human
welfare,` ‘Emerging trends in biomedical research and technology, Information
technology for rural development,` ‘Nanotechnology: Perspectives and present
prospects, Climate change and global warming,` ‘Climate change and food
security and Renewable & Non-Conventional energy,` ‘Energy security,` and
‘Bio-fuels as energy`. Over 8,000 delegates from universities, institutions and
national laboratories across the country and abroad including a few Nobel
Laureates will be participating in the Congress, which will be held from
January 3 to 7.
