Fire Breaks Out in DLF IT Park

Fire broke out in the cafeteria of the DLF IT Park that was located on the ground floor of the D Block 11-storeyed building at 10 am. A fire-fighting team of the DLF located on the park premises was pressed into service.
Sources said the kitchen exhaust duct had sediments of oil which got heated up and caused the blaze which damaged the entire duct before the flames were put out. Since there was a separate team to fight fire at the DLF facility, the distress call was not received at the Fire Control Centre of the city.
However, the Tamil Fire and Rescue Services official confirmed that there was a fire which was put out and there were no casualties.
