The newly formed central government has been exploring whether to continue with the subsidies under the Aadhar cards. The senior officials of the Aadhar card Board have started this analysis and are expected to submit a report before 15th August.
The direct subsidy given for cooking gas under the Aadhar card scheme has been stopped from 30th January.
The scheme was stopped by the previous UPA government as a variety of complaints were being received including the one that there were nos subsidies for Aadhar cards without any savings account in the bank.
In this scenario, the new government is interested in resuming this scheme after making the necessary changes to solve the various complaints.
