It is time to install high security for our online portals as the Government’s cyber security arm CERT-In has warned about the spreading of a new malware which is stealing user-info. The malware named “Bladabindi” can be used as a malware downloader that can propagate malware and also offer backdoor access to an attacker.

The CERT-In has already warned that some of the Bladabindi variants are also capable of capturing keyboard and controlling computer camera, to send any type of sensitive information to the attacker. It is generally affected the Windows operating system and can spread through infected USB removable flash drives or some other malwares.

It has also been said that variants of this malware can be created with the help of a malicious hacker tool. The attacker can easily create a malicious file by simply using any icon to mislead a naïve user and prompt him to run the file. Some variants of Bladabindi copy themselves easily into the root folder of a certain removable drive and make a shortcut file with the icon and name of the folder. By clicking on the icon, a user will simply run the file without his knowledge, and trigger malicious sharing of confidential information.
