FRCS course in India

As a part of their worldwide expansion in tune with globalization and to meet the growing demand particularly from India John Getty and David H.A. Jones the Members of the Council of Royal College of Surgeons of England are exploring possibilities of tie-ups with private hospitals in India that can serve as training and examination centres for the FRCS (Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons) course. They have already visited a hospital  in Bangalore. Now on an exploratory visit to Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore to assess the level of facilities available  for training ;to conduct FRCS course .

It is look beyond learning surgery or writing the examinations. Administration, better doctor-patient relations, meeting the expectation of the patients and organizing a good healthcare delivery system will have to be part of the learning process, they said.
