Collector P.Seetharaman held a counseling session here on Wednesday for
meritorious Adi Dravidar students on choosing reputable schools of their choice
for further education.

had decided to make arrangements for meritorious Adi Dravidar students to
continue their education in leading schools of their choice. Accordingly, a
special test was conducted for Class V students in all 13 panchayat unions in
the district and three top-scorers from each union had been selected.Of the
three candidates, one would be selected (whose parental income does not exceed
Rs. 1 lakh a year) for admission to a residential school. The candidates thus
selected would have free education from Class VI to Class X. Similarly, 10 Adi

Leaving Certificate examinations would also be given the option of choosing any
of the well-known schools for admission and the government would bear their
educational expense.
