Cancer awareness website launched

A website to spread the word that it is possible to have a normal life after cancer was launched by the oncology unit of the Sri Ramachandra Medical College.
Head of the oncology unit Anita Ramesh said.“In other countries, there are a number of websites that bring together cancer survivors and act as a platform for them to share their success stories and discuss their problems. There is a need for a similar website in India as well.”
Users will be able to connect to each other, share experiences and soon, there will be a ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ section as well.
The website, www.freedomfromcancer.org, was launched recently.
