The central minister, Ms. Smriti Irani, has informed that there is a new plan to facilitate the school drop-outs to rejoin schools and complete their education.

Women, tribal children, and backward class people are often compelled to dis continue their studies and go for jobs due to extreme economic conditions. (Even the minister faced a similar circumstance when she had to forego education for want of money).

A new scheme, known as ‘Ikas Vikas’, is set to be started to improve the quality of education of the students. In this scheme, students aspiring to become scientists or researchers will be given an opportunity to be trained in the best technological institutions.

Two sections will be started – one in summer & another in winter. Around 2200 students will be given opportunities to visit and study in IITs & IIMs. Some seminars will also be conducted for their benefit.

The plan facilitating those who dropped out of school after 8th Standard to continue their studies will be implemented before the end of December.

The government will encourage all government schools. A new scheme for children’s education will be implemented before next year. The new scheme will have the arrangement for the parents to receive regular messages about the details whether they have learnt their lessons and  performance of their children.
