Steep decrease in inflation rate unlike past 5 years

The inflation rate of the country in the month of August 2014 is reduced to 3.7 per cent. This is said to be a very steep decrease in the past five years. The very least inflation rate in the recent years was 1.8 per cent in 2009 after which it is now 3.7 per cent.

In July 2014, the aggregate inflation rate was 5.19 per cent. Considering August 2013, the aggregate inflation rate was 6.99.

Considering the food inflation rate in our country, during August 2014, it was reduced to 5.15 per cent which was earlier 8.43 per cent in the month of July.

About the retail inflation rate, it was 7.96 in July which then got reduced to 7.8 per cent in August. Inflation rate, on the whole is found to have decreased in various aspects unlike past five years.
