Rains lashes in Chennai: Trees uprooted

Heavy rains lashed in Chennai on Monday evening. 18 trees were uprooted due these rains. Heavy rains accompanied with thunder lashed the city. Because of gusty winds, 18 tress were uprooted and the branches of 19 were broken. Corporation staff cleaned these. The streets were flooded. The metrological department has forecasted that there will be rains on Wednesday.
