Police officers in Tamil Nadu transferred

A senior Intelligence official was among the IPS officers who were transferred by the Tamil Nadu government today.
Amaresh Pujari, IG, Intelligence, was transferred and posted as IG Tamil Nadu Police Academy. He was replaced by IG, Intelligence, Internal Security, P Kannappan.
The government also effected transfers and postings of other IPS officials, including posting J Loganathan, Joint SP, Law and Order, Tirunelveli as SP, Dharmapuri, vice Asra Garg who is on mid-career training programme.
V Vikraman is new SP of Villupuram, vice S Manoharan who has been posted as DC, Anna Nagar, Greater Chennai Police.
Joint SP of Salem Rural, Saroj Kumar Thakur is DC, Law and Order, Trichy City, vice Abhinav Kumar, who has been posted as SP, Nagapattinam.
Nagapattinam SP R Ponni has been transferred and posted as Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police, XIII Battalion, Poonamallee vice S Mani who has been transferred and posted as Assistant IG, Social Justice and Human Rights, Principal Home Secretary Apurva Verma.
