It’s now finally official that the Hindi remake of the Malayalam hit movie ‘Dhrishyam’ will be made by Viacom 18 motion pictures. In a recent confirmation made by the director of original director of ‘Dhrishyam’, Jeethu Joseph, he said the Hindi remake of the movie is finalized now and that he wouldn’t direct it. The movie’s Hindi rights is purchased by Viacom 18 motion pictures, he added.
After so many speculations about the male lead of the Hindi version, it is now said that neither Akshay Kumar nor Ajay Devgn would play the role. The male lead will be played by Saif Ali Khan and it is finally confirmed.
It is noteworthy to be mentioned that ‘Dhrishyam’ is getting remade in three South Indian languages. The film’s Kannada and Telugu versions are already released and saw massive success. The Tamil remake titled ‘Paapanasam’ starring Kamal Hassan is currently on the go. Issues were on only with the Hindi remake which is now cleared too.
