It is found that there has been an increase in demand for commercial spaces in major cities in India. A hike of 31 per cent is seen in the need and the overall area of 80 lakh sq.ft is identified during the second quarter of this year in 7 major cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Chennai. Considering the second quarter of last year, it was only 60 lakh sq.ft.
Coming in to the rent charged in Chennai city, it has seen a hike between 12 to 15 per cent.
Describing the situation, a leading real estate consultant company states the increase in demand for commercial space is due to the expansion of several leading companies.
This increase in demand seems to be a healthy one in our country. Let it grow on and on and bring prosperous results to India.
