Happy birthday Venkat Prabhu and singer Karthick!

November 7 seems to have given birth to a number of artists to the K-town. It’s not just Kamal Hassan the legend but Venkat Prabhu and Singer Karthick as well.
Venkat Prabhu stepped into the industry playing minor roles in couple of movies and took a slew in his career with his directional venture in 2007. His debut movie in direction was ‘Chennai 28’ which absolutely needs no introduction. This received applause not just from the young league but from kids, elders and audiences from varied ages. His movie with Thala Ajith was appreciated from all over. ‘Mankatha’ marked the 50th movie of Ajith and now the director is busy with ‘Mass’ starring Suriya.
And here we go to the musical part of the birthday gala – singer Karthik. If you remember, you would notice the singer’s voice was first heard in the film ‘Star’ for the song ‘Nenthkitten’ that had the Oscar winner composing the tunes. The song which hit our ear drum 14 years ago is still afresh with the triggered voice of Karthick. He’s such an amazing singer who wins our heart just with his voice. This singer is now turning 34 today. It’s worth mentioning about the Filmfare award he received. And do you know? He did grab it for 5 times and not just once!
