According to reports from ECA international, Indian employees are likely to get their salary hiked by 10.9 per cent on an average by next year, 2015. This is said to be the third highest rise in pay in Asian – Pakistan and Vietnam stand in the first and second positions.
ECA International, in its recent survey on Salary Trends found that the highest hike can be seen in Pakistan which will be of the range 12%.
Though hike in wages in India is on the higher side, considering the inflation next year, only a 3.4 per cent increase can be seen. It is expected that the inflation will be slightly lower in 2015, says ECA International regional director for Asia, Lee Quane.
Considering the inflation, India comes down to seventh place in the entire Asian region. Vietnam will top the list and Pakistan will get pulled to the third place, a China will hold the second. Fourth, fifth and sixth places will go on to the hands of Thailand, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka respectively.
