In a case filed at the High Court against distribution of weightage in government teachers qualifying examination, the court has ordered government to give a reply within six weeks.
On behalf of 67 candidates who cracked the government teaching staff selection examination, a petition was filed in the High Court. This petition indicated two of the government orders saying that the five per cent weightage allotted for reserved class candidates is causing more trouble for all the rest of the candidates appearing in the exam. The petition also mentioned that the Chennai High Court acts in favor of the government, whereas the Madurai branch of the High Court acts in favor of petitioners.
Following this, on hearing the case, judges ordered the government to give the needed explanation within a maximum time period of 6 weeks. It also added that the job allocation has to be done as per the judgment given by the High Court.
