Overwhelming response for the new bank scheme by central government, Venkaiah Naidu

Venkaiah Naidu, Minister of Urban Development of India said over 7 crore individuals have got a new bank account opened under the new scheme launched by central government.
In just 7 weeks of launching the scheme, nearly 6,99,00,000 individuals have opened a new bank account. This has really happy to know. This population mainly includes people from villages which further bring a note of positivity and happiness, he added.
Venkaiah Naidu also pointed that over 58 per cent individuals never had a bank account before the launch of this scheme. Most of these 58 per cent are from villages hailing from poor backgrounds.
