Scattered heavy to very heavy rain would occur over South Tamil Nadu

The low-pressure system, which has been causing the rain, is now situated between Sri Lanka and Gulf of Mannar region. As a result, almost all coastal as well few interior districts of Tamil Nadu have been experiencing heavy rainfall.Scattered heavy to very heavy rain would occur over South Tamil Nadu. Isolated heavy to very heavy rain would occur over North Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.As for Chennai, the skies would remain cloudy with a few spells of heavy rain or thundershowers occurring in some areas.
