No more Service Tax for payment of Property Tax online!

Service Tax, which is currently being levied for those who pay property tax on-line, is now withdrawn.
The announcement after a meeting on this issue clarifies:
1.75% Service Tax which was levied while paying Property Tax on-line using credit cards is directly taken by the bank.
ICICI, IDBI and Punjab National Bank have come forward to offer online Property Tax payment without this service tax of 1.75%.
Hence, it is decided that the current agreement with India Ideas which was offering this service is cancelled forthwith. The service offered by the above-mentioned banks will be accepted.
