Security tightened in Tamil Nadu

A week back the Hindu Munnani office received a letter addressed by an extremist Muslim group that they would wage an attack on RSS representatives and the city party office on 6 December.
 
Taking such threats into serious consideration, the Tamilnadu Special Force personnel along with Tamilnadu police and Railway police have laid out an extensive security net across the State.
 
Starting from the night of 5 December, the State will be under tight police control. 
 
Apart from routine checks, various surprise inspections will also be conducted in lodges and commercial establishments.
 
CCTV cameras at public places such as railway stations, bus stops, malls and hotels will also be under constant scrutiny.
 
Members of the State police department alone are said to account for one lakh.
 
It is reported that the offices of different political parties will also be guarded by police. 
 
Security will be given to the coastline as well. 
 
It is said, police will be on bandobust all night carrying out vehicle checks.Coimbatore, Madurai and Nellai will also be under the scanner for any terror activities.
